One day, after some girlfriends and I had just finished having brunch, I wondered aloud, "What happened to those old-fashioned Spring teas?" Or rainbow teas? You know, the ones where you put on your best spring dress and a hat, and there would definitely be a few lace gloves. You could be sure there would be teacakes, petite sandwiches, scones, or biscuits on the menu. Women of all ages and backgrounds were the same for a few hours. You could all laugh or cry, and most of all, you would share the stories of your lives.
I said to my girlfriends, "We should do one." They all agreed to support me if I did. Thus, the Sundress & Big Hat Brunch™ was born.

About Our Founder
My name is Lana Hunter, and I host the Sundress & Big Hat Brunch™! Thank you for stopping by!
I began the Sundress & Big Hat Brunch™ with a group of brunch-loving girlfriends almost 15 years ago. What started as a one-time event is now a yearly celebration in multiple cities. The reason for our continued success is you! Seeing a room full of beautifully dressed women enjoying themselves, meeting new friends, and taking pictures brings me immense joy. I hope that each attendee leaves with a smile, having made new connections that will positively impact their lives. The brunch provides a safe space for sisters, mothers, daughters, aunties, grandmas, and best friends to come together and celebrate their connections.
Over the years, I've met countless amazing women, shared laughter and tears, and formed incredible friendships. As long as my tribe keeps showing up, I'll continue to host these events.
None of this would have been possible without the support of my best friend and co-host Melissa and many other friends and supporters. I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for all of it.
When I'm not busy hosting brunches, I run my event management company, Gr8 Collaborations. I also enjoy working out, spending time with loved ones, and brunching whenever possible. I look forward to meeting you at one of our events soon!
