What is the Sundress & Big Hat Brunch?


The Sundress & Big Hat Brunch is an annual event that gives ladies a chance to get together, have fun, and support a great cause. What started off years ago as a local event with close friends in Raleigh, NC has turned into a national affair with guests who travel from all parts of North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Boston and more.

 

What is the brunch supporting this year?

 

For the last 8 years we’ve identified causes that are near and dear to our hearts, then donated a portion of the proceeds to those organizations.  We are grateful to have donated thousands of dollars to these non-profit organizations. In the past, we’ve supported:
  • 2010 & 2011 – RIC Rock Youth Center
  • 2012 – Raleigh International Church
  • 2013 – Passage Homes of Raleigh
  • 2014 – American Cancer
  • 2015 – InterAct of Raleigh
  • 2016 – Juvenile Diabetes

When & where is the brunch?


The Sundress and Big Hat Brunch is always the last Saturday in April
Date: Saturday, April 29th
Time: 10:30 am – 1:30pm
Where:  Prestonwood Country Club 300 Prestonwood Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513.

 

What is this year’s theme?


The 2017 Theme is the “Gift of Girlfriends”

 

How much are the tickets?


TIckets are $40 each and includes your admission, an amazing brunch and a guaranteed fantastic time.

What do I wear to the brunch?


All things cute and sassy! With the right dress/shoes and clutch, you can conquer the world! But please, NO PANTS!

 

Can I bring my husband/brother/best friend (who also happens to be a man)?

 

Nope! Sorry, no boys allowed. But you CAN bring your sisters, girlfriends, mothers, aunties, and anyone else you love who happens to be a female.

 

Why should I attend?

 

Your best reason to attend is YOU! If that doesn’t move you, here are a few more reasons to join in on the fun:

  • We raise money for worthy causes — stay tuned for this year’s cause!
  • It’s an annual tradition women look forward to and invite their girlfriends each year.
  • Everyone needs a few hours away from distractions and ever-growing to-do lists.

  • We can be girlfriends — we share laughter, encouraging stories and amazing memories.
  • It’s a great place and opportunity to meet new people and expand each other’s horizons.
  • This brunch is a long-term investment in community and a great cause.
  • It’s an immediate investment in yourself! Revel in the joy of being girly, play games, laugh, listen to inspirational stories and be uplifted.

 

What should I expect from the brunch?

 

We won’t give too much away about this year’s brunch, but you can expect a lot of fun, lots of laughter, great food, and games as we raise money for a great cause.  You will make new and lasting friendships like many of our guests have done in the past. Plus there is nothing like getting all dolled up and feeling extra pretty and girly for a day! See past brunches here.

 

Can I get a ticket at the door?


Sadly, no tickets can be sold at the door. Tickets sales end on Monday, April 24, 2017.

 

When is the last day to get tickets?


Ticket sales end on Monday, April 24th, 2017, if not before.  Last year we sold out, so plan ahead!

 

Are vendors welcome?


Yes! Vendors are welcome! Our attendees love to shop at the brunch.  The vendor fee is $100.  Please visit the vendor page to complete a vendor application.  We accept one type of vendor from each category and it’s on a first come, first pay basis.

 

Are refunds available?


Your registration to the brunch is nonrefundable, but it is transferrable.  So, if something prevents you from attending, this is a gift someone you know would love to receive.

 

Do you offer group discounts?


You can purchase a table here or contact us at info@sundressandbighatbrunch.com for groups of 11 or more.
